French publishing and author groups sue Meta

French publishing and author groups have sued Meta in Paris, accusing it of using copyrighted works without permission to train its AI models. The lawsuit, filed by SNE, SNAC, and SGDL, claims Meta engaged in large-scale copyright infringement and economic exploitation. This is the first such lawsuit in France, following similar legal actions in the U.S.
